Honduran Nationals Charged in Miami for Repeated Illegal Reentry into the U.S.

Miami, FL – Two Honduran nationals are facing charges of illegal reentry into the United States after being apprehended in South Florida. Federal grand jurors in South Florida have indicted Marvin Wilton Max Ayala and Brayan Josue Matute-Lobo for repeatedly entering the country without authorization, a violation of 8 U.S.C. 1326.

Marvin Wilton Max Ayala has been charged with illegal reentry for the fifth time. Authorities encountered him in South Florida on April 1. His previous deportations from the United States occurred on November 21, 2012, April 6, 2015, May 4, 2020, and August 5, 2021.

Similarly, Brayan Josue Matute-Lobo has been charged with illegal reentry for the fourth time. He was found in South Florida on March 8. Matute-Lobo had been removed from the U.S. on February 12, 2016, April 21, 2016, and December 22, 2016.

Both men are currently detained at the Federal Detention Center in Miami as they await the resolution of their cases. The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Hayden O’Byrne of the Southern District of Florida and Juan Agudelo, Acting Field Office Director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE-ERO) in Miami. The ICE-ERO conducted the investigation, and Special Assistant United States Attorney Melissa Roca Shaw is prosecuting the cases.
