Reggie Hunter, a 37-year-old father of two from Baton Rouge, was also killed in the attack. Having just left work to celebrate the New Year with his cousin, Hunter’s life was abruptly taken as the truck careened down the street. His cousin, Shirell Jackson, shared the loss and confirmed that she was injured during the attack.
Martin ‘Tiger’ Bech, a former football star, was another casualty. Known for his energy and competitive spirit, Bech played for St. Thomas More Catholic High School and Princeton University. At the time of his death, he was working as an investment trader. His brother, Jack Bech, shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing admiration and love for Tiger.
Nicole Perez, a single mother diligently striving for a better life for her 4-year-old son, was among the fatalities. Recently promoted at Kimmy’s Deli, Perez was excited about her future. Her employer, Kimberly Usher, expressed her sorrow and mentioned the efforts to support her son during this tragic time.
Another life claimed was that of 25-year-old Matthew Tenedorio, remembered for his cheerful demeanor and ability to uplift those around him. His mother, Cathy Tenedorio, reminisced about her last moments with her son, highlighting his passion for his work as an audiovisual technician at the Superdome.
