The Investigation
The months-long investigation, dubbed “Operation Eastbound and Down,” was led by the King County Sheriff’s Office Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team, with assistance from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. According to authorities, the investigation focused on a supplier who allegedly received shipments of over 100 pounds of narcotics every few weeks for distribution to local dealers in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.
Coordinated Raids and Seizures
Law enforcement officials executed coordinated search warrants at locations in Bridgeport, Lynnwood, and Kirkland. The raids yielded a substantial quantity of illegal substances, including 70.55 pounds of methamphetamine, 16 pounds of fentanyl powder, 6.83 pounds of heroin, and 1.67 pounds of cocaine. In addition to the narcotics, authorities confiscated a handgun, a vehicle, and $83,652 in cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
