The brief cold spell in Florida is coming to an end as warmer winds shift the climate starting Sunday.
Starting this Sunday, the cold north winds that brought temperatures down to the 50s during the night and just into the low 70s during the day will be replaced by warmer, onshore winds. These changes mean that temperatures will climb back to the 80s for highs and settle in the 60s for lows throughout much of the week. Despite these increases, the humidity will remain fairly moderate, preventing the weather from becoming uncomfortable.
Sunday’s weather will mostly feature sunny skies, albeit with a few rare cloud appearances. Afternoon temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 70s. As the night sets in, lows should remain in the mid-60s across Miami-Dade and Broward, and slightly warmer in the upper 60s to low 70s across the Florida Keys.
As Thanksgiving approaches, the forecast remains promising with sunny and dry conditions expected, providing a pleasant atmosphere for the holiday. However, contrasting weather patterns are anticipated in other parts of the United States, with rain and snow forecasted for much of the eastern regions on Thursday.
With the shift to warmer temperatures, Florida residents can anticipate a comfortable holiday week, while other parts of the country prepare for less favorable conditions.
