According to the police report, the vehicle’s owner stated that the car had been left parked and running in the lot while he went inside the business. A female passenger remained in the front passenger seat. During this time, an unidentified male suspect reportedly entered the vehicle through the driver’s side door and demanded the woman exit the car.

Investigators stated that when the passenger refused to leave, the suspect struck her in the face. She subsequently exited the vehicle, at which point a second unidentified male entered the passenger seat. The suspects then fled the scene in the stolen car. Police located the vehicle approximately 30 minutes later, abandoned in the 900 block of East Wilson Street.
