Washington, D.C. – President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran amidst escalating tensions following Israeli strikes on Iranian targets. In a recent Truth Social post, President Trump emphasized that Israel’s subsequent attacks on Iran could be "even more brutal" if Tehran does not negotiate a deal concerning its nuclear program.

On June 13, 2025, Israeli forces launched a series of targeted strikes against Iran, reportedly resulting in the deaths of two top Iranian generals. This action has intensified calls from global leaders to prevent further escalation in the Middle East. The strikes also exposed Iran’s nuclear ambitions, which the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) described as "deeply concerning."

President Trump urged Iran to engage in negotiations to prevent further destruction. "There has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end," he stated. He further implored Tehran to act swiftly, referencing the historic Persian Empire, "Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE."

The conflict has prompted the U.S. to assist Israel in intercepting Iranian missile attacks without participating in offensive operations. The White House has reiterated that the U.S. was not involved in Israel's strikes, maintaining a stance of diplomatic pressure on Iran to curb its nuclear activities.

In Tehran, the aftermath of the Israeli attacks was evident with significant damage reported in the city, including residential areas. The Iranian government has claimed the right to continue its nuclear program while remaining silent on potential negotiations with the U.S.

Israeli officials, including the ambassador and a former Mossad counterterrorism head, have articulated that Israel’s goal is to bring Iran back to the negotiating table. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have lauded their operation as highly advanced and precise.

As the conflict continues, President Trump’s administration and Congress remain keenly focused on the evolving situation. There is a push from some U.S. lawmakers to supply Israel with necessary military and intelligence support to ensure the security of the Jewish state against Iranian threats.

The global community is closely monitoring the situation, urging both nations to de-escalate and return to diplomatic discussions. Further developments are anticipated as the region remains on high alert for any retaliatory actions from Iran.
