The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Marathon, one of the biggest endurance events of the year, will be held for the 20st time on Sunday, January 29, 2023. An Epic Long Distance Run

25.000 runners from around the world will witness an epic feat of human endurance as they gather in the city to compete in the grueling 26.2-mile marathon and 13.1-mile half marathon. They represent all 50 U.S. states and 80 countries worldwide!

In the early morning hours, throngs of enthusiastic spectators line the streets in anticipation and excitement, beating drums and waving signs to cheer on their friends and family. It promises to be an electrifying event, not only for the athletes, but also for those who support them.

The 2023 Miami Marathon attracts passionate athletes of all experience levels, each with their own story of courage and endurance. From those venturing into their first marathon to veterans chasing their personal records, the races are sure to be filled with compelling stories of inspiring ambition.

The Course

The Life Time Miami Marathon is a USATF-certified single-loop course that offers unparalleled views of Miami’s breathtaking landmarks with every mile. From sunny Miami Beach to the lush greenery of Coconut Grove to the vibrant heart of Downtown Miami, this course promises an electrifying Miami experience that all runners will never forget!

As the stars slowly fade in the pale morning sky, runners experience an invigorating run across the MacArthur Causeway to Miami Beach, where they witness a beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. They run along history-rich Ocean Drive and Washington Avenue before heading back downtown via the majestic Venetian Causeway.

The half marathoners race off, aiming for the triumphant finish line in Bayfront Park. Meanwhile, marathoners continue to run through downtown and familiar neighborhoods such as Brickell, Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove before returning to the jubilant finale at Bayfront Park.

Runners are rewarded at the finish line with a unique, colorful medal designed by a different artist each year and a festive celebration after the race.

The Tropical 5K

If you don’t dare run a marathon or half marathon, why not participate in the Tropical 5K and enjoy everything a race weekend has to offer without running miles?

On January 28, the streets of Miami will be filled with hardened athletes eager to prove themselves on the 3.1-mile course – one day before the big marathon and half-marathon events!

The race begins on Watson Island and runners cross the MacArthur Causeway to finish at 1 Washington Avenue and celebrate at Nikki Beach at the tip of South Beach after the race.

Kids Run Miami

Kids Run Miami is a county-wide project designed to revolutionize the way kids approach wellness! All Miami-Dade County middle schools are encouraged to join this inspiring movement and cultivate a lasting running practice that will lay the foundation for a dynamic lifestyle. The Miami Marathon isn’t just for adults anymore – the 1.2 mile Kids Run Miami was created to leave a legacy that will leave a lasting impression!
